Prime Minister Modi Engages Over 6.76 Crore Students in PPC 2026
The Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 event saw participation soar to over 6.76 crore individuals, showcasing a significant increase in engagement compared to previous editions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi connected directly with students across multiple regions, including Delhi, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Dev Mogra in Gujarat, and Guwahati in Assam. This interaction spanned the diverse geographical landscape of India, reflecting the program’s broad appeal.
The participation breakdown reveals that more than 4.5 crore individuals registered for the event, while an additional 2.26 crore took part in various activities linked to PPC. This year’s impressive turnout highlights the growing relevance of the initiative, which aims to alleviate exam stress and encourage dialogue about education.
Expanding Reach and Impact
PPC has evolved significantly since its inception. In its inaugural year, 2018, the event attracted just 22,000 participants, but by 2025, registrations had surged to 3.56 crore. The previous edition, held on February 10, 2025, was notable for its innovative format, taking place at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi. It featured 36 students representing various educational institutions, such as government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and Navodaya Vidyalayas.
The 2025 edition of PPC also set a Guinness World Record with participation from students in over 245 countries, teachers from 153 countries, and parents from 149 countries. This global reach underscores the program’s influence on students and educators worldwide.
During the event, themes such as sports, mental health, nutrition, and technology were addressed, with insights from prominent figures. This approach has resonated with students and educators alike, further enhancing the program’s stature.
Looking Ahead
The success of PPC 2026 indicates a promising future for the program as it continues to foster a supportive environment for students. With a total participation exceeding 6.76 crore, this year’s event reaffirmed its significance as a platform for addressing educational challenges and encouraging open discussions about academic pressures.
As the program evolves, it remains focused on enhancing student well-being and promoting a balanced approach to education. The growing numbers reflect not only the effectiveness of PPC but also the increasing recognition of the need for mental health and wellness in the education sector.
In conclusion, PPC has transformed into a vital national initiative, garnering attention and participation from millions across the country. Prime Minister Modi’s direct engagement with students is a testament to the government’s commitment to addressing educational concerns and fostering dialogue in an increasingly competitive academic environment.
