Israel and US Launch Joint Action Against Iranian Threats

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, announced that Israel, in collaboration with the United States, has taken decisive action against what he described as an “existential threat” to Israel and its allies, as well as to global stability. This statement was made during a press briefing on March 1, 2024, where he emphasized the need to address the immediate dangers posed by the Iranian regime.

Danon articulated a comprehensive strategy aimed at dismantling Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities while neutralizing its regional proxy network. He stated, “Today, Israel, together with the United States, acted to stop an existential threat to Israel, to our allies, and to global stability.” He underscored the seriousness of the threats, particularly when Iran’s leaders openly chant sentiments such as “Death to Israel” and “Death to America.”

The ambassador elaborated on the escalating tensions, attributing the onset of aggression to Iran’s actions in arming proxies throughout the region, advancing its nuclear program, and committing violence against its own citizens. “We all know when the real escalation began,” Danon remarked, highlighting the trajectory of Iran’s military advancements and the threats they represent.

Danon concluded with a call for peace and stability in the region, asserting that the time for change is imminent. “We will continue to target the leadership of this radical regime and do whatever is necessary to enable the right conditions for a new future for the people of Iran and stability for the region,” he said.
