Trisha Krishnan Responds to Parthiban’s Remarks Amid Controversy
Actor Trisha Krishnan has found herself at the center of media attention following her recent appearance with former actor and current politician Vijay at a wedding event. This sighting came shortly after reports emerged that Vijay’s wife had filed for divorce, claiming infidelity linked to an actress. While Trisha was not named in the divorce petition, speculation about her relationship with Vijay has persisted for years. Their public outing has intensified discussions on social media, drawing varied reactions from fans and industry peers alike.
The situation escalated when actor and filmmaker R. Parthiban made comments about Trisha during a public event. Following a question about her role in the film Ponniyin Selvan: II, Parthiban quipped, “This Kundavai should be kept at home for a few days. That’s good. Don’t let her come out.” This remark sparked significant online debate, with many netizens noting that Parthiban himself is a divorcee, having ended his marriage in 2004. Despite this, he reportedly maintains a cordial relationship with his ex-wife, actor Seetha.
Trisha addressed the unfolding drama on her social media platforms on March 8, 2026, a day that coincided with International Women’s Day. Although she did not directly mention Parthiban, her comments were clearly aimed at his remarks. In her post, she stated, “I was informed by the organisers of a recent event that my name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual conveyed through his assistant. A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes stupidity louder. Crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they’re aimed at.”
This statement drew considerable attention and support from her followers, who praised her for standing up against what they perceived to be unwarranted criticism. The dynamic between Trisha and Parthiban has been a topic of interest in entertainment circles, particularly following the viral nature of Parthiban’s comment.
In a separate but related social media post, Parthiban appeared to further comment on the situation by emphasizing the value of women. He wrote, “It’s WORTH! Worth & worth! Because a woman is another EARTH. We call the earth Bhuma Devi. We do not call it Sama Nathan by a man’s name. No matter who he is, he is born from a woman — even if he is Shiva, his power is a woman! Happy WOMEN’S DAY!”
Parthiban’s remarks on women’s significance seemed to serve as a broader commentary on gender dynamics, though they also sparked discussions about the appropriateness of his previous comments regarding Trisha.
As the situation continues to evolve, both actors remain prominent figures in the spotlight, with fans closely following their statements and interactions. The incident serves as a reminder of the complexities of public life in the entertainment industry, where personal and professional boundaries often blur.
