Tragic Incident Claims Lives of Factory Owner and Son in Delhi
A tragic accident at a pickle-making factory in the Nangloi area of New Delhi resulted in the deaths of a 60-year-old factory owner and his 32-year-old son. The incident occurred on the evening of March 7, 2024, when a call was made to the Police Control Room reporting that individuals had fallen into a well at the facility.
Upon receiving the call, officials from the Nangloi police station quickly arrived at the scene located in Rao Vihar. They discovered that the factory, owned by a man identified as Anil, operated on the ground floor of a residential building where he lived with his family on the first floor.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a laborer had entered one of the wells at the factory and became unconscious due to suffocation. In a desperate attempt to rescue the laborer, Anil and his two sons, Neeraj, aged 32, and Sandeep, aged 28, descended into the well. Unfortunately, the lack of oxygen caused all three men to lose consciousness.
Emergency responders were able to retrieve the victims and rushed them to a nearby hospital. Tragically, doctors pronounced both Anil and Neeraj dead upon arrival. The condition of the laborer and Sandeep remains unclear as further updates are awaited.
This incident highlights the dangers associated with industrial operations and the critical importance of safety measures, particularly in environments involving hazardous conditions such as wells. Local authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
