Arlovski Challenges Doherty’s Bodyguard to Boxing Match After Scuffle
Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski has publicly challenged streamer Jack Doherty‘s bodyguard to a boxing match following a backstage confrontation during the highly publicized Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event. The incident escalated when Arlovski encountered members of Doherty’s entourage, leading to a viral exchange captured on video, which showed tensions running high.
In a recent interview with sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Arlovski expressed his desire to settle the matter in the ring. He stated, “Ariel, you have more connections, please hook me up. Yes, I would love to, especially with that bodyguard guy,” reinforcing his determination to turn the altercation into a legitimate boxing match. Arlovski also took a moment to thank fans for their support during this unexpected turn of events.
Doherty quickly responded to Arlovski’s challenge through social media, confirming that his bodyguard was willing to accept the fight. In a post on X, he emphasized the potential financial gain for all parties involved. “My security is down to box that Andrei guy in a fight. So Andrei, you want to box or fight my security guard, let’s set it up and do it the right way. You guys would get the biggest paydays of your lives, and me too, baby,” Doherty wrote, highlighting the lucrative prospects of the proposed matchup.
The exchange between the two has gained considerable traction, further fueling interest in crossover boxing events. In a follow-up video, Doherty suggested an even more unconventional scenario, proposing a multi-opponent match. “Or we can 3 vs. 1, Andrei. It will be all three of us in the ring. He doesn’t stand a chance. I think all three of us can easily take him. Maybe we’ll 4 vs. 1 him,” he declared, presenting an array of options to his followers.
While no official fight has been confirmed, the ongoing dialogue between Arlovski and Doherty has captivated audiences and ignited debates among fans. Many are weighing in on whether Arlovski should accept the single-opponent challenge or respond to Doherty’s proposal for a multi-man showdown.
The situation illustrates the increasing spectacle surrounding crossover boxing, where personalities from different domains engage in high-stakes challenges. Andrei Arlovski, known as “The Pitbull,” remains eager to showcase his skills against Doherty’s camp. At the same time, Doherty continues to push the boundaries of conventional matchmaking with his bold and unconventional offers.
As this story develops, boxing enthusiasts and casual viewers alike will be watching closely to see if the challenge leads to an official bout, which could further elevate the excitement surrounding the sport.
