Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor Showcase Their ₹350 Crore Mumbai Home
Actor Alia Bhatt recently offered a glimpse into her and husband Ranbir Kapoor‘s newly completed bungalow in Mumbai, which is estimated to be valued at around ₹350 crore. The couple’s lavish home, located in the upscale Pali Hill neighborhood, merges traditional Indian elements with modern design, creating a unique family sanctuary.
On December 5, 2023, Alia took to Instagram to share a collection of personal moments from November, featuring never-before-seen photographs from a family puja held at their new residence, known as the Krishna Raj bungalow. The images depicted a spacious and elegantly designed interior that honors the legacy of the Kapoor family while providing a contemporary living space.
A Harmonious Blend of Tradition and Modernity
The interior of the bungalow reflects a masterful balance between traditional warmth and modern aesthetics. One noteworthy photograph showcases Alia dressed in a pale pink saree alongside Ranbir, who wore a white embroidered kurta-pyjama during the puja ceremony. Sunlight streamed through large glass windows, illuminating the tiled floors and enhancing the serene atmosphere of the home.
The design features classic off-white walls and refined trims, contributing to a neutral yet elegant palette throughout the multi-story bungalow. Traditional Indian touches, such as a large urn-style planter, add a distinctive cultural flair to the living spaces, reinforcing the family’s heritage.
A Tribute to Family Legacy
One of the most poignant aspects of the home is its tribute to Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir’s late father and a celebrated veteran actor. A framed portrait of Rishi, adorned with a floral garland, holds a central position in the home, illuminated by strategically placed lighting. This thoughtful detail ensures that the patriarch’s memory remains an integral part of their new family environment.
The bungalow’s renovation commenced under Rishi Kapoor’s guidance, preserving the historical significance of the site. The property sits on the original plot of the Krishna Raj bungalow, which was formerly owned by Ranbir’s grandparents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor.
According to a report by Hindustan Times from June 12, 2023, the property’s value has garnered significant attention. Ritesh Mehta, a senior director at real estate consultancy JLL India, estimated the valuation of the bungalow renovation to be between ₹350-400 crore.
The completion of Alia and Ranbir’s home marks a significant milestone for the couple as they create a private retreat for their family, including their daughter Raha and Ranbir’s mother, actress Neetu Kapoor. The blend of modern comforts with traditional values makes this residence not just a house, but a cherished home filled with memories and family heritage.
