The Haryana Government has taken a significant step to enhance healthcare access for its employees, pensioners, and their dependents by empaneling four prominent hospitals in Punjab. This initiative aims to strengthen medical facilities and ensure that state personnel receive advanced treatment for serious health conditions.

Newly Empaneled Hospitals

The hospitals added to the list include the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Mullanpur, a unit of the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Sangrur, the Regional Spinal Injuries Centre located in Sector 70, Mohali, and the Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in Phase 3B1, Sector 60, Mohali. These facilities specialize in critical areas such as cancer treatment, spinal injuries, and liver-related diseases, addressing the urgent healthcare needs of employees and their families.

Health Minister Arti Singh Rao highlighted that this decision reflects the government’s commitment to providing better and specialized medical services for its workforce. The initiative ensures that essential medical care is accessible, particularly in emergencies, disasters, or epidemics.

Emergency Preparedness and Facilities

To further enhance preparedness, the empaneled hospitals are required to provide essential services, including ambulances, intensive care units (ICU) and cardiac care units (CCU), burn units, wards, beds, and mortuary services as necessary. This comprehensive support will be crucial in managing surges of patients, particularly during crises.

The instructions regarding the empanelment have taken effect immediately, emphasizing the urgency of improving healthcare facilities for state employees. For additional details, individuals can refer to the official website of the Health Department.

This move marks a significant advancement in healthcare provisions for government employees in Haryana, ensuring they receive timely and specialized treatment within a network of reputable hospitals in Punjab.
