Rishab Shetty Launches ‘Jai Hanuman’ with Grand Ceremony in Hampi
Actor-director Rishab Shetty has officially begun production on his eagerly awaited mythological film, ‘Jai Hanuman’. The project kicked off with an elaborate muhurat puja on February 22, 2026, at Anjanadri Betta in Hampi, a location celebrated as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The film’s team announced this auspicious start through their official social media platforms, sharing a captivating one-minute video that showcased the ceremonial proceedings.
The video featured the cast and crew, dressed in traditional attire, actively participating in the rituals amidst the picturesque rocky landscape of Hampi. Director Prasanth Varma and Rishab Shetty led the ceremony, with notable producer Bhushan Kumar also in attendance. The accompanying caption on social media expressed the significance of the occasion, stating, “<#JaiHanuman> begins with the divine blessings of Lord Hanuman.”
Sequel to ‘Hanu-Man’ and Expansion of PVCU
‘Jai Hanuman’ is positioned as a sequel to the successful 2024 film ‘Hanu-Man’, which has created substantial anticipation among audiences. This film marks a significant addition to the expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), further establishing its narrative scope. In this upcoming project, Rishab Shetty will reprise the role of the titular character, Lord Hanuman.
The announcement of ‘Jai Hanuman’ coincided with a significant occasion, the Pran Pratishtha of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, adding to the film’s cultural resonance. The production is backed by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with T-Series, with producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar at the helm.
