Vishram Kumar Meena, the Deputy Commissioner of Kurukshetra, conducted a review meeting on March 13, 2024, to assess the progress of various development projects announced by the Chief Minister. During the meeting, Meena emphasized the importance of timely updates, instructing officials to upload status reports on the designated portal. He made it clear that any negligence regarding the Chief Minister’s announcements would not be tolerated.
Among the key updates, Meena announced that administrative approval had been granted for a new bus stand to be constructed in Pipli. The relevant department has already initiated the necessary steps to move forward with this project. Additionally, he highlighted that work on laying drinking water pipelines has commenced in 31 out of 44 villages within the Ladwa assembly constituency, with a commitment to complete the work before the onset of the rainy season.
The Deputy Commissioner also detailed plans for enhancing healthcare facilities in the region. He confirmed that X-ray machines would soon be installed at government medical facilities in both Jhansa and Ladwa, aimed at improving medical services for residents.
As part of an initiative to enhance local infrastructure, Meena outlined plans for beautification and enhancement of the road leading to the Arunai temple. Work on this project is set to begin after the upcoming Shivaratri festival, ensuring that devotees visiting the temple will not face any disruptions during the celebrations.
In terms of municipal development, he addressed the construction of a new municipal building in Ladwa. Instructions have been issued to the District Municipal Commissioner to consider future expansion needs during the building’s design and construction phases. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the ongoing construction of a community center on Indri Road in Ladwa, reiterating the importance of such facilities for community engagement.
Meena’s proactive approach demonstrates a commitment to advancing development initiatives in Kurukshetra, ensuring that critical projects are prioritized and effectively implemented for the benefit of local residents.
