Shriram General Insurance Unveils Shri Health Suraksha 2.0 Plan
Shriram General Insurance has launched the Shri Health Suraksha 2.0, an advanced health insurance plan designed to meet the evolving needs of policyholders. This new offering eliminates traditional restrictions such as room rent caps and co-payment requirements, aiming to provide comprehensive coverage without financial strain. The plan not only includes unlimited restoration benefits but also covers air ambulance expenses and integrates both modern and AYUSH treatment options.
In an effort to fill critical gaps in standard health insurance, Shri Health Suraksha 2.0 introduces features that enhance flexibility and protection for families. The policy allows for an unlimited number of restorations of the sum insured within a policy year and rewards claim-free years with a cumulative bonus of up to 250%. This means that policyholders can enjoy significant increases to their base sum insured simply by avoiding claims.
Key Features of the New Plan
The plan boasts several notable features:
– **Unlimited Restoration Benefit**: Automatically restores the sum insured an unlimited number of times within a policy year.
– **Cumulative Bonus up to 250%**: Offers substantial increases to the base sum insured for each claim-free year.
– **No Room Rent Capping**: Allows patients to select healthcare facilities based on their needs without financial constraints.
– **Zero Co-payment**: Guarantees that the insurer covers the entire admissible claim amount, eliminating mandatory cost-sharing for policyholders.
– **Ambulance Plus**: Provides coverage for both standard and air ambulance expenses up to the chosen sum insured.
– **Consumables Coverage**: Expands the range of covered medical consumables, reducing out-of-pocket costs for policyholders.
Anil Aggarwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Shriram General Insurance, emphasized the strategic significance of this new offering, stating, “Shri Health Suraksha 2.0 represents a strategic leap in our retail health portfolio. We have intentionally stripped away common industry restrictions like room rent caps and co-pays to provide a product that is truly dependable. Our goal is to ensure families remain financially resilient even as medical inflation continues to climb.”
