St Agnes Students Excel at National Special Olympics Meet
Students from St Agnes Special School achieved remarkable success at the National-Level Special Olympics Athletics Meet held from February 4 to 6, 2023, at Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak, Haryana. Four athletes represented their state and showcased their exceptional talents, securing multiple medals across various events.
Anston Rodrigues stood out by winning a gold medal in the shot put and a silver medal in the 100 metres race. His performance exemplified dedication and skill, contributing significantly to the overall success of the team.
In addition, Assish delivered a stellar performance by clinching a gold medal in the relay event while also earning a silver medal in the 200 metres race. His efforts, alongside those of his teammates, played a crucial role in elevating the team’s status at this prestigious event.
Alfaz also made headlines by securing a silver medal in the 100 metres race, further enhancing the school’s reputation in athletics. Although Pavitra finished fifth in the same race, her commendable effort was noted and celebrated, highlighting the competitive spirit of all participants at the national level.
The achievements of the St Agnes students have garnered significant admiration and recognition, not only for their individual accomplishments but also for the pride they have brought to both their school and the state.
