Reliance Foundation Awards 5,100 Scholarships for 2025-26 Cycle
Reliance Foundation has announced the results of its annual scholarship program, awarding a total of 5,100 scholarships for the 2025-26 academic cycle. This announcement coincides with the 93rd birth anniversary of the organization’s founder, Dhirubhai Ambani. The selected beneficiaries include 5,000 undergraduate and 100 postgraduate students, each receiving financial grants to support their higher education pursuits.
Details of the Scholarship Program
Under the current scholarship framework, undergraduate recipients will receive up to Rs 2 lakhs, while those pursuing postgraduate studies will benefit from grants of Rs 6 lakhs. This initiative is part of a broader commitment made in 2022 by Nita Ambani, Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, to distribute 50,000 scholarships over a span of ten years. To date, the foundation has successfully assisted 33,471 students through this program.
The selection of this year’s cohort was highly competitive, with over 1.25 lakh applicants from 15,544 institutes. The successful candidates represent a diverse geographical mix, hailing from 28 states and four Union Territories across India. Notably, 83 percent of the selected scholars come from families with an annual income of less than Rs 2.5 lakhs.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
The scholarship program also reflects a commitment to gender balance, with 48 percent of the undergraduate recipients being female and 52 percent male. Additionally, the cohort includes 146 scholars who are persons with disabilities, highlighting the foundation’s dedication to inclusivity.
Academic achievement played a crucial role in the selection process. Approximately 97 percent of the undergraduate scholars attained a score of 90 percent or higher in their Class XII examinations. The postgraduate students are engaged in advanced studies in critical fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Renewable Energy, and Life Sciences.
A spokesperson for Reliance Foundation stated, “India’s youth have shown incredible drive, hard work, and talent. Our scholarships aim to provide mentoring, an excellent peer network, and more, in addition to the financial grants to accelerate their journey. Our Reliance Foundation Scholars demonstrate excellence and confidence in their chosen disciplines, pursuing remarkable professional goals, and we are privileged to support them in their journey.”
Beyond financial assistance, the foundation offers students access to a global alumni network and various leadership development programs, enhancing their educational experience and professional opportunities.
Students who applied for the scholarships can view their results on the foundation’s official website by entering their 17-digit application number or registered email address. This initiative underscores Reliance Foundation’s commitment to empowering the next generation through education and support.
