Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Engages South Indian Industrialists
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Hyderabad on Saturday to promote investment opportunities in his state. During the event titled ‘Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’, he engaged with industrialists from various South Indian states, highlighting the potential across multiple sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav also met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence. Reddy provided an overview of Telangana’s development initiatives, including programs like the Young India Skills University and the state’s Sports University. Yadav commended Hyderabad’s remarkable growth and innovation, emphasizing that his visit was solely focused on fostering economic collaboration rather than political motives.
He expressed the need for Chief Ministers to enhance inter-state relations, stating, “A Chief Minister’s role should go beyond political events and aim to strengthen ties between states.” Yadav emphasized that discussions on trade, technology, and business expansion should be the driving force behind such visits.
Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s leadership for significant reforms that have opened new avenues for industries. He dismissed long-standing misconceptions regarding industrial policy, asserting that Madhya Pradesh is dedicated to providing a stable policy ecosystem for investors. The Chief Minister assured industrialists that both written and unwritten commitments will be honored to foster a healthy industrial environment.
One of the key developments Yadav highlighted was the establishment of a Metro Rail coach manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh by BEML Rail Hub, valued at approximately Rs 1,800 crore. This facility positions the state for potential exports of rail coaches, further bolstering its industrial landscape.
During his visit, Yadav made a stop at Greenko’s headquarters in Hyderabad, engaging with senior management and conducting one-on-one discussions with business leaders. The focus of these meetings was to explore investment opportunities in various sectors, including information technology, information technology-enabled services (ITES), biotechnology, manufacturing, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
A dedicated round-table discussion on the biotechnology sector allowed participants to examine emerging opportunities within research-led industries and innovation-driven enterprises in Madhya Pradesh. Yadav’s proactive approach underscores his commitment to attracting investment and fostering a collaborative economic environment.
As the Chief Minister continues his efforts to position Madhya Pradesh as a competitive investment destination, his engagement with industrialists reflects a strategic focus on enhancing economic partnerships across state lines.
