Yogi Adityanath Prays at Kashi Temples on Sharad Purnima

On October 6, 2023, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the historic Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Kaal Bhairav Temple in Varanasi to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima. During his visit, the Chief Minister performed the Shodashopachar puja in the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath and prayed for the prosperity of the state at the Kaal Bhairav Temple.

The ceremony attracted a considerable number of devotees, who enthusiastically chanted “Har Har Mahadev” upon the Chief Minister’s arrival. In addition to the religious observances, CM Yogi took time to interact with the public, greeting devotees and blessing a newborn. He also distributed chocolates to children present, showing a personal touch by asking them about their studies.

Inauguration of Ganga Aarti at Namo Ghat

Further enhancing the spiritual atmosphere, Yogi Adityanath formally inaugurated the Ganga Aarti at Namo Ghat. This event not only highlighted his commitment to the cultural heritage of the region but also provided an opportunity for the community to engage in this significant ritual.

Attending the prayers alongside the Chief Minister were several notable figures, including Surya Pratap Shahi, the Agriculture Minister; Ravindra Jaiswal, the Minister of State for Stamps (Independent Charge); and Dr. Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’, the Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge). Legislative Council Member Dharmendra Singh, along with MLAs Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari, Dr. Awadhesh Singh, and T. Ram, also participated in the prayers, emphasizing the unity and dedication of the state leadership towards cultural and spiritual values.

This gathering not only marked a celebration of tradition but also reinforced the role of local leaders in fostering community engagement through spiritual practices. The Chief Minister’s presence at such events underlines the significance of cultural heritage in governance and the importance of connecting with the public on a personal level.
