Thieves Break Car Window, Steal Cash and Valuables in Chandigarh

In a brazen act of theft, an individual parked near the Chaitanya Techno School in Sector 44 of Chandigarh fell victim to thieves who shattered the car’s windscreen. The incident resulted in the theft of cash, a diamond gold ring, a pair of Apple AirPods, and important documents.

The owner of the vehicle, Priya Nagpal, a resident of Sector 21, reported the crime to the authorities after discovering the damage. She had parked her car with her handbag inside while attending to matters at the school. Upon returning, she found the windscreen broken and her handbag missing, prompting her to contact the police.

The stolen handbag contained several valuable items, including a diamond gold ring and ₹3,000 in cash. Additionally, one of the Apple AirPods was taken along with important personal documents.

Police Investigation Underway

Following the complaint, the Sector 34 Police registered a case against unidentified individuals and initiated an investigation. Officers are currently examining the area for any surveillance footage that could assist in identifying the suspects.

Incidents of car break-ins are a growing concern in urban areas, with residents increasingly urged to secure their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside. The police have emphasized the importance of reporting any suspicious activities in the neighborhood to prevent further thefts.
