Haryana Chief Minister Urges Swift Action on Public Grievances
Nayab Singh Saini, the Chief Minister of Haryana, has called on government officials to prioritize the resolution of public grievances during a meeting on September 16, 2023. Emphasizing the importance of addressing complaints with seriousness, Saini directed the officers to focus particularly on issues related to basic amenities. He expressed his commitment to personally monitor the progress of these efforts to ensure timely solutions for the residents of Haryana.
In his address regarding the Jan Samvad initiative, Saini insisted that no negligence would be tolerated in the resolution of complaints. He emphasized that the primary goal of the Haryana government is to provide swift and effective responses to the concerns of the public. To facilitate this, he instructed administrative secretaries to oversee the complaint resolution process and guarantee that citizens receive quick and transparent solutions.
Focus on Education and Infrastructure
Saini also highlighted the need to strengthen the education system across the state, particularly in rural areas. He urged officials to prioritize the availability of essential facilities such as toilets, electricity, and drinking water in government schools. The Chief Minister announced plans to upgrade these schools to enhance the quality of education provided to students.
As part of his broader strategy, Saini mentioned the effective implementation of the Chirag Yojana, a program aimed at improving educational access and infrastructure. He also directed officials to ensure the beautification of Amrit Sarovars, which are vital water bodies in the villages. Regular maintenance, including cleaning and timely repairs, is necessary for preserving these resources, which contribute to local water conservation and promote a clean environment for residents.
Paddy Procurement Update
In a move beneficial to rice millers, the Haryana government has decided to extend the delivery and bonus period for rice procurement from March 15, 2025, to June 30, 2025. This extension is expected to positively impact nearly 1,000 mills in the state, offering relief of approximately ₹50 crore in holding charges for the millers.
Additionally, Saini announced that the date for paddy procurement will be advanced to September 22, 2025, rather than the previously scheduled October 1. This decision aims to streamline the procurement process and support the local agricultural economy.
Through these initiatives, the Haryana government is demonstrating its commitment to addressing public concerns and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. The focus on both education and agriculture reflects a holistic approach to governance, ensuring that the needs of the people are met efficiently and effectively.
