Madhya Pradesh CM Yadav Honors 60 Soldiers for Bravery in Balaghat
On Monday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav awarded out-of-turn promotions to 60 soldiers recognized for their exceptional bravery during encounters with Naxal insurgents in the Naxal-affected region of Balaghat. The ceremony also featured a wreath-laying tribute at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, honoring soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty, as detailed in an official release.
In addition to the promotions, CM Yadav inaugurated 32 police stations and various government offices in Balaghat district, all developed according to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards. During the event, he shared a meal with the Hawk Force and police personnel, fostering camaraderie among the security forces.
Eradicating Naxalism: A Collective Effort
Addressing attendees, CM Yadav emphasized the resilience of Balaghat, stating, “Strength is inherent in the very name of Balaghat.” He remarked on the district’s determination to confront and dismantle challenges posed by Naxalism. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, a nationwide initiative has been mobilized to eradicate this threat. Yadav commended the Madhya Pradesh Police for their decisive operations, which he claimed have forced Naxalites to the brink of defeat, delivering the “final salute” to the insurgency.
“The courage displayed by the personnel of the Hawk Force in combatting Naxalism is commendable,” he added. He noted that Balaghat, once plagued by violence, is now a testament to the effectiveness of the security forces and the trust of local communities in restoring order.
Ongoing Welfare and Development Initiatives
CM Yadav outlined the government’s commitment to ensuring that Naxalism does not regain a foothold in the region. As part of these efforts, he announced that 250 schools affected by Naxal activity in Balaghat have been renovated. Furthermore, local citizens can access single-window service centers, and camps have been organized to provide crucial services, including forest rights titles, caste certificates, and employment opportunities for tribal communities.
Declaring this initiative as the Year of Farmer Welfare, CM Yadav stated that an upcoming Agriculture Cabinet meeting will be held in Balaghat, part of the Mahakaushal region. The Amar Jawan Jyoti in Balaghat will serve as a lasting memorial to the campaign against Naxalism.
In conclusion, the Chief Minister congratulated police personnel for their success in anti-Naxal operations, reinforcing the state government’s dedication to maintaining peace and security in Madhya Pradesh.
