In a remarkable box office showdown, Sunny Deol’s film, Border 2, has significantly outperformed Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar across multiple metrics. The competition began with advance bookings, where Border 2 garnered ₹12.5 crore on its opening day, surpassing Dhurandhar’s ₹9.23 crore.
The first day collection for Border 2 reached ₹30 crore, eclipsing Dhurandhar’s ₹28 crore. This strong start indicates robust audience interest and sets a promising tone for the film’s future earnings. As the weekend unfolded, Border 2 maintained its momentum, significantly outpacing Dhurandhar by collecting ₹121 crore over the first three days, compared to ₹103 crore for Dhurandhar.

In terms of worldwide earnings during the same period, Border 2 also excelled, amassing ₹172.20 crore against Dhurandhar’s ₹158 crore.
Despite the impressive domestic performance, Border 2 fell short in the overseas market. The film earned ₹27 crore internationally within three days, whereas Dhurandhar collected ₹34.50 crore abroad. This discrepancy highlights a nuanced performance, suggesting that while Border 2 has captivated local audiences, Dhurandhar has resonated more with international viewers.
