The Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai, India, has introduced an advanced robotic-assisted technology for complex surgeries. The new system, known as the Intuitive Da Vinci Xi – Advanced Robotic Surgical System, was officially inaugurated on October 15, 2023, by V.R. Venkataachalam, Chancellor of the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research.

This state-of-the-art surgical system features a surgeon console, a patient-side cart equipped with three to four robotic arms, and a 3DHD vision system.
