As news of the incident spread, large crowds of supporters and political leaders gathered in Pune to pay their respects. The city prepared for Pawar’s funeral, scheduled for the following day. Mourners, including party workers and citizens, lined the roads leading to the Vidya Pratishthan, where tributes were paid in the form of floral arrangements and heartfelt prayers. Many attendees expressed their sorrow openly, highlighting Pawar’s significant impact on the community.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Pawar as a leader deeply connected to the grassroots, reflecting his long-standing commitment to public service.
