Four Bangladeshi Nationals Detained in Tamil Nadu for Illegal Stay

Four nationals from Bangladesh were detained in the Erode District of Tamil Nadu during a police operation on March 12, 2024. The Perundurai police, in collaboration with the Q Branch police, conducted a surprise check at Panikkampalayam, leading to the questioning of the individuals.

During the interrogation, the four men revealed that they were employed at a private textile firm near Perundurai. They admitted to being from Bangladesh and indicated they had arrived in the area through unspecified means. Notably, the police discovered that none of the individuals possessed valid passports or visas, raising concerns about their legal status in India.
