Teacher Celebrates Republic Day with Unique Nail Art Tribute
In a remarkable display of creativity, Karingu Janayya Goud, a drawing teacher from Budamarlapalli village in Kanagal mandal, has painted the Indian national flag on his right thumb’s fingernail. The artwork measures 12 centimeters in length and 1.8 centimeters in width, created to commemorate Republic Day, celebrated annually on January 26.
Janayya Goud, who has a history of painting intricate designs on his thumbnail, aims to gain international recognition through his unique form of artistic expression. His previous works have earned him a place in both the Telugu Book of National Records and the Telangana Book of State Records, highlighting his commitment to this unusual craft.
Artistry with a Purpose
Currently employed at the Zilla Parishad High School in Kanagal, Janayya Goud has made it his mission to create miniature art that resonates with cultural pride. He believes that using his fingernail as a canvas allows him to convey a powerful message of patriotism and creativity. “I want people to appreciate the beauty of art in everyday life, and my nail paintings are a way to achieve that,” he shared.
The choice to paint the national flag holds special significance for Janayya. It not only represents his love for his country but also serves as a reminder of the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, which are celebrated on Republic Day. By choosing such a visible and personal medium, he hopes to inspire others to embrace their creativity while honoring their heritage.
Recognition and Future Aspirations
Janayya Goud’s dedication to his craft has not gone unnoticed. His inclusion in national record books underscores his talent and the cultural importance of his work. As he continues to explore new themes and subjects for his thumbnail paintings, he expresses a desire to reach even wider audiences.
Looking ahead, Janayya aims to not only further his artistic endeavors but also to promote the idea of using unconventional canvases in art. His work exemplifies the intersection of creativity and cultural pride, making a statement that resonates far beyond the confines of traditional art forms.
As he prepares for future projects, Janayya remains focused on the goal of gaining international recognition. With each brushstroke, he continues to celebrate his cultural identity while encouraging others to express themselves through art in similarly innovative ways.
