Over 3,000 Activists Recognized for Contributions to Statehood
More than 3,000 activists advocating for statehood were honored at a ceremony held at the Aryabatta Auditorium in Ranchi on March 6, 2024. The event, organized by the Jharkhand state home, jail, and disaster management department, recognized the significant contributions of these individuals to the formation of the state.
Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri and Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan presented certificates to the members of the Adhisuchit Jharkhand Andolankaris, acknowledging their roles in the long-standing movement for statehood. Bhajantri emphasized the importance of their efforts, stating, “Every Andolankari played a key role in the formation of the state. The administration remains committed to protecting their dignity, rights, and social security. Their contributions will continue to inspire the state’s progress.”
The recognition event aimed not only to honor the activists but also to promote awareness of their struggles and achievements. Bhajantri’s remarks highlighted the ongoing commitment of the state government to support these individuals, ensuring that their sacrifices are acknowledged and celebrated.
In an engaging twist, the event also featured a promotional opportunity for attendees, offering a chance to win a ₹5,000 Amazon Voucher through participation in a survey titled “India’s Biggest Habit Index.” This initiative aims to gather insights into the habits and preferences of the community, further encouraging engagement among participants.
The ceremony serves as a reminder of the vital role played by activists in shaping democratic processes and governance. Their dedication to the cause of statehood reflects a broader commitment to social justice and community empowerment. As Jharkhand continues to develop, the efforts of these individuals will remain a cornerstone of its progress.
