Anushka, a Class X student from the Government Senior Secondary School in Udaipur, Lahaul and Spiti district, had the opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 programme in New Delhi. This initiative aims to assist students in managing exam-related stress and anxiety, providing a platform for open discussion about educational pressures.

During the event, Anushka shared her personal journey of overcoming exam fear, attributing much of her transformation to reading the Prime Minister’s book, Exam Warriors. She expressed how the book shifted her perspective on examinations, allowing her to view them as a celebration rather than a source of stress. According to Anushka, this change in mindset has significantly improved her approach to studying and preparing for tests.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the gathered students, encouraging them to read Exam Warriors to combat exam-related anxiety. He highlighted the importance of not allowing fear to dominate one’s thoughts and urged students to embrace exams as opportunities to showcase their skills and knowledge. Modi reinforced the message that education should be a journey of discovery, rather than a source of pressure.

The event featured interactions with 36 students selected from across India, with Anushka being the sole representative from Himachal Pradesh. The programme was broadcast live to schools nationwide, ensuring that many more students could benefit from the discussions.

In addition to addressing students, the Prime Minister also shared advice for parents. He urged them to support their children without imposing undue pressure, emphasizing the role of encouragement in helping young people succeed. He suggested that maintaining a diary could help students track their daily progress and reflect on their learning experiences.

The Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative continues to foster a supportive environment for students as they navigate their educational journeys. Anushka’s experience serves as a reminder of the positive impact that mentorship and guidance can have on young learners.
