Governor Reddy Commemorates Constitution Day at KV No. 1 Agartala
On November 26, 2023, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu attended a significant celebration of Constitution Day at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 in Agartala. The event, marked by enthusiasm from the school community, served as a reminder of the essential values, rights, and responsibilities outlined in the Constitution of India. A diverse group of students, teachers, and guests gathered to honor this pivotal occasion in the nation’s democratic history.
Upon his arrival, Governor Nallu received a warm welcome from the school’s Principal, staff, and student representatives. The school’s band performed a ceremonial salute, enhancing the solemnity of the occasion. The programme began with the lighting of a lamp, a symbol of knowledge and justice—principles that are foundational to the Constitution.
Highlighting Constitutional Values
In his address, Governor Nallu spoke passionately about the significance of Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas. He underscored the visionary leadership of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and the role of the Constituent Assembly in shaping the nation’s democratic framework. The Governor stressed the necessity of instilling constitutional values such as equality, liberty, and fraternity among students.
Encouraging the young learners, Nallu urged them to become responsible citizens who actively engage in nation-building while respecting India’s diverse social fabric. His words resonated with the audience, reinforcing the importance of civic duty and constitutional awareness.

The event included a reading of the Preamble, underscoring the core principles of the Constitution. Additionally, students showcased a cultural presentation that celebrated the themes of unity and the constitutional spirit. An exhibition displayed significant milestones in India’s constitutional history, offering insights into the evolution of democratic governance in the country.
As the celebration concluded, a vote of thanks was delivered, expressing appreciation to Governor Nallu for his inspiring presence and insightful remarks. The programme not only served as a festive occasion but also as a powerful educational experience, instilling a sense of pride and awareness among students regarding the legacy and guiding principles of the Indian Constitution.
