The Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai has expanded its healthcare capabilities with the inauguration of the **Jeevan** facility, dedicated to cancer and dialysis care. The launch, held on **March 15, 2024**, was led by **Nita Ambani**, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, and coincided with the hospital’s **10th anniversary**. This new centre is a personal tribute to Ambani’s late father, **Ravindrabhai Dalal**.

During the launch ceremony, which was attended by family members including **Mukesh Ambani**, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Nita Ambani shared her heartfelt reflections. “Jeevan is my dedication as a daughter to my father, Shri Ravindrabhai Dalal. Papa taught me that seva is the highest form of worship,” she stated, underscoring the values that guide the new centre.

Since its establishment, the hospital has aimed to make quality healthcare accessible, having treated over **3.3 million patients**, including **1.6 million children**. The introduction of the Jeevan facility is aligned with this mission, expanding complex medical services to further enhance patient care.

Advanced Care and Innovative Design

The new wing features an advanced oncology department that provides both chemotherapy and immunotherapy, alongside a dedicated dialysis unit. These services are complemented by a **24-hour critical care unit**, ensuring rigorous safety standards for patients. A key highlight of the new infrastructure is the **paediatric chemotherapy ward**, which Nita Ambani described as particularly meaningful to her.

The design of the ward departs from traditional clinical environments, incorporating vibrant wall art depicting nature and animals. This thoughtful approach aims to create a comforting atmosphere for children undergoing treatment, making the experience less daunting.

Addressing the attendees, Nita Ambani acknowledged the emotional challenges faced by families dealing with severe health issues. “Every mother and every father that walks through these doors carries a weight no parent should ever have to bear. And every child who goes through this treatment is a brave little warrior,” she remarked, emphasizing the resilience required in such difficult times.

Meeting Growing Healthcare Needs

The launch of the Jeevan wing responds to the increasing demand for specialized critical care in Mumbai while maintaining the hospital’s core philosophy of patient-centric support. By integrating advanced medical technology with compassionate design, the facility aims to ensure that patients leave with renewed health and hope.

The establishment of the Jeevan facility marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare solutions. As it enters its next decade, the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital continues to uphold its mission of delivering quality medical services to those in need, making a lasting impact on the community it serves.
