Chamba Deputy Commissioner Advocates Progressive Implementation of Aspirational District Goals
Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal chaired a meeting on September 26, 2023, in Chamba to evaluate the progress of the Aspirational District Programme. The meeting aimed to assess advancements across various sectors, including health, education, agriculture, child development, infrastructure, financial inclusion, and skill development.
During the session, Repaswal emphasized the need for a progressive and results-oriented approach to achieve the programme’s objectives. He directed the Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) and Block Development Officers of Pangi and Tissa to ensure the effective implementation of the identified indicators. Regular review meetings were recommended to monitor progress.
Repaswal urged officials to report any challenges encountered in meeting the established targets at the district level. This proactive communication would allow for timely solutions to be implemented. He requested that various departments present their achievements and set goals by the end of September.
In a virtual segment of the meeting, Repaswal scrutinized the ongoing work in Tissa and Pangi blocks, providing necessary directions for enhancing performance. He also reviewed key governmental schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, alongside initiatives in education, child development, and infrastructure.
Key departmental officers participated in the meeting, presenting detailed progress reports. Among them were Aparajita Chandel, Assistant Commissioner; Priyanshu Khati, Sub-Divisional Magistrate; Bhag Singh, Deputy Director of Education; and Jivan Kumar, District Planning Officer. Their contributions were essential in providing a comprehensive overview of the status of various initiatives.
The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration among departments to ensure that the goals of the Aspirational District Programme are met effectively. By focusing on accountability and regular assessments, the Chamba district aims to make significant strides in improving the quality of life for its residents.
