Amandeep Hospital and Ujala Cygnus Launch Women’s Joint Care Initiative
Amandeep Hospital, in collaboration with Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services, has introduced a healthcare initiative entitled “Chalti Rahe Woh – Women’s Joint Care Week,” taking place from March 8 to March 14. This program aims to coincide with International Women’s Day and is designed to provide free orthopedic consultations for women experiencing various joint and bone health issues.
The initiative addresses common concerns such as knee pain, back pain, hip discomfort, arthritis symptoms, spine issues, and osteoporosis. Many women often overlook these problems, prioritizing family responsibilities over their own health. Hormonal changes, particularly those associated with post-pregnancy and post-menopause, heighten the risk of conditions such as bone density loss and joint degeneration. By promoting early evaluation and preventive care, this campaign seeks to improve women’s health outcomes.
Dr. Avtar Singh, a Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, emphasized the significance of this initiative. “Women are the backbone of every family, yet when it comes to their own health, they often delay seeking medical attention. Joint pain, back pain, and early signs of arthritis are frequently ignored until mobility becomes severely restricted,” he stated. Dr. Singh underlined that regular orthopedic check-ups are vital not just for managing pain but for preserving independence and enhancing quality of life.
As women age, particularly after 40 years, they face increased risks associated with osteoporosis and joint degeneration. Dr. Singh noted that early screening and timely intervention can prevent long-term disability and lessen the likelihood of requiring major surgical procedures. “Through ‘Chalti Rahe Woh’, our goal is simple — to ensure that every woman continues to walk confidently, actively, and pain-free,” he added.
Focus Areas of Women’s Joint Care Week
During Women’s Joint Care Week, consultations will concentrate on several key areas, including knee pain and early arthritis, back and neck pain, hip joint problems, osteoporosis screening guidance, post-menopausal bone health, and lifestyle counseling for joint preservation. Women are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by booking appointments throughout the week.
This initiative not only aims to raise awareness but also to empower women to prioritize their health. By providing accessible consultations and expert guidance, Amandeep Hospital and Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services hope to foster a proactive approach to women’s joint health.
Women interested in participating are advised to schedule their appointments promptly, taking the first step towards improved mobility and stronger bones. The partnership between these healthcare organizations reflects a commitment to enhancing the well-being of women in the community, particularly during this significant time of year.
