The 83rd Golden Globe Awards took place on January 11, 2026, showcasing the best in film and television and setting the stage for the forthcoming Oscars. The event highlighted significant achievements, with Paul Thomas Anderson‘s film One Battle After Another leading the night, securing four awards, including Best Director.

Among the standout winners, KPop Demon Hunters claimed the award for Best Motion Picture-Animated, while Sinners was recognized with the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award. The prestigious award for Best Motion Picture-Drama went to Hamnet, and One Battle After Another also took home the title for Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy.

In the international category, The Secret Agent won Best Motion Picture-Non-English Language, showcasing diverse storytelling. The acting categories featured prominent performances, with Jessie Buckley winning Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama for her role in Hamnet. Wagner Moura received the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama for his performance in The Secret Agent.

Rose Byrne was recognized for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy for her role in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, while Timothee Chalamet was awarded Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy for Marty Supreme. Supporting roles also shone, with Teyana Taylor winning Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for One Battle After Another, and Stellan Skarsgard recognized for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Sentimental Value.

The night also honored Paul Thomas Anderson with the award for Best Screenplay for One Battle After Another, while Ludwig Goransson received the award for Best Original Score-Motion Picture for Sinners. Joong Gyu Kwak‘s Golden from KPop Demon Hunters won Best Original Song-Motion Picture.

In television, The Pitt won Best Television Series-Drama, while The Studio took home the award for Best Television Series-Musical or Comedy. Netflix’s Adolescence was awarded Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Performers were also recognized in the television acting categories. Rhea Seehorn from Pluribus and Noah Wyle from The Pitt won Best Performance by a Female/Male Actor in a Television Series-Drama. Jean Smart took home the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series-Musical or Comedy for her role in Hacks, while Seth Rogen won in the male category for his performance in The Studio.

In the limited series category, Michelle Williams won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television for her role in Dying for Sex, and Stephen Graham received the award for Best Male Actor in the same category for Adolescence.

Lastly, Erin Doherty and Owen Cooper, both from Adolescence, secured the awards for Best Performance by a Female/Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television.
