“Dhurandhar Surpasses ₹600 Crore Mark at the Box Office”
The action spy thriller Dhurandhar has achieved remarkable box office success, surpassing ₹600 crore in collections within three weeks of its release. The film, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, continues to dominate the box office landscape even as new films debut.
On its 21st day in theaters, Dhurandhar has collected approximately ₹20.96 crore by 18:00 on Friday, December 26, 2025. This impressive figure comes as the film enjoys a boost from the Christmas holiday, despite competition from the newly released film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. The total box office collection now stands at an impressive ₹628.46 crore, and projections suggest that it will exceed ₹630 crore by the end of the day.
The film’s performance has been exceptionally strong during its first three weeks, grossing ₹207.25 crore in the first week and ₹253.25 crore in the second week. Notably, Dhurandhar has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several notable films, including Stree 2, which grossed ₹598 crore, and Chhaava, which reached ₹601 crore. Currently, it ranks just behind Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan, which grossed ₹640 crore in India.
Future Prospects and Upcoming Releases
With its current trajectory, Dhurandhar aims to reach the ₹650 crore mark by the end of the weekend, setting its sights on a worldwide gross of ₹1,000 crore. The film’s success is a testament to its engaging storyline and star-studded cast, which includes notable names such as Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
Released on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar has captivated audiences with its thrilling narrative. Plans for a sequel, Dhurandhar 2, are already in motion, with a slated release date of March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Eid celebrations. The sequel is expected to be released in all South Indian languages as well as Hindi.
The continued success of Dhurandhar highlights not only the film’s popularity but also the increasing appetite for high-octane thrillers in the Indian film market. As the box office figures suggest, audiences are eager for more from this franchise, and the anticipation for the sequel is already building.
