Designer Manish Tripathi has revealed his intricate designs for Lord Ram’s attire, set to be showcased during the upcoming Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra in Ayodhya on December 31, 2023. Speaking to ANI, Tripathi expressed his deep appreciation for the honor of creating these garments, describing it as a significant blessing and a unique opportunity to participate in this revered tradition.

Tripathi emphasized that the clothing for Lord Ram is crafted using indigenous materials, showcasing the rich heritage of Indian crafts and textiles. He noted that for such special occasions, the garments are adorned with gold embroidery and symbols significant to the Vaishnav tradition. “The clothes of the Lord are always indigenous… This is a matter of great fortune for us,” he stated.

In a related development, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to attend the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations. Singh announced his visit via a post on his official social media account, stating, “Tomorrow, December 31, I shall be in Ayodhya. Looking forward to visiting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra and also attending the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations.”

Earlier, on December 14, Champat Rai, general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, confirmed that the Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi will be observed on the last day of the year. He mentioned that the Defence Minister’s attendance has been confirmed, suggesting that the Chief Minister might also participate in the event.

Rituals and Celebrations Planned

As part of the two-day Pratishtha Dwadashi Patotsav celebrations, a series of rituals will be performed at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. These include sacred ceremonies such as Tattva Kalash, Tattva Homa, Manyu Sukta Homa, and Ram Taraka Mantra Homa. The evening program features a paalki procession for Lord Ram, where the palanquin will circumambulate the temple premises three times each day throughout the rituals.

All events are being conducted under the guidance of Pujya Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Ji Maharaj. According to the acharyas overseeing the worship, the rituals are rooted in Vedic traditions and aim to balance the fundamental elements of creation while dispelling adharma, obstacles, and unrest.

The Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations promise to be a significant event for devotees and participants, reflecting both a deep spiritual heritage and a continuing commitment to cultural traditions in India.
