David Harbour is set to captivate audiences with his latest role in the HBO series titled DTF St. Louis. The dark comedy, which also features Jason Bateman and Linda Cardellini, revolves around a complex love triangle that ultimately leads to one character’s tragic demise. The series was created by Steve Conrad, known for his work on shows such as Patriot and Perpetual Grace, LTD.

The first episode, titled Cornhole, is scheduled for release on March 1, 2024, on HBO and HBO Max internationally. In India, viewers will have access to the episode on JioHotstar starting from March 2. Following the premiere, new episodes will be available every Sunday worldwide and on Mondays in India until the series concludes on April 12-13, just before the much-anticipated premiere of Euphoria Season 3.

In DTF St. Louis, Harbour portrays Floyd, an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter who forms a friendship with Bateman’s character, Clark Forrest, a weatherman. Unbeknownst to Floyd, Clark is involved in an affair with his wife, Carol, played by Cardellini. The series also features Joy Sunday as Jodie Plumb, a special crimes officer investigating the murder, and Richard Jenkins as Detective Donoghue Homer. Additional cast members include Peter Sarsgaard and Chris Perfetti, among others.

The trailer for DTF St. Louis reveals a critical aspect of the plot: Floyd’s lifeless body is seen behind crime scene tape. The seven-part series will delve into the events surrounding his death. Clark introduces Floyd to a dating app named DTF St. Louis, encouraging him to pursue extramarital affairs. Although Harbour’s character is killed off early in the series, he will continue to appear in flashbacks that explore the unfolding narrative leading to his death.

Conrad not only writes and directs the show but also serves as the showrunner. Both Bateman and Harbour are among the executive producers, alongside Conrad. The series is inspired by the article “My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, False Identities, and a Lethal Sedation” by James Lasdun. Harbour has confirmed that the project has undergone substantial redevelopment since its initial conception.

As anticipation builds for this intriguing series, viewers can expect a blend of dark humor and suspense, showcasing Harbour’s talent in a role distinct from his previous work in Stranger Things.
