The Central Railway has introduced 14 pairs of special train services to accommodate the growing passenger demand during the holiday season. These services will connect major metropolitan areas and key regional hubs, including Lucknow, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Gorakhpur, Madgaon, and Delhi, with important terminals in Mumbai and Pune. The initiative aims to alleviate congestion and provide relief to travelers during peak travel times, particularly around festivals and school breaks.
Comprehensive Travel Options for All Passengers
The special trains will feature a variety of coach classes to cater to different passenger needs. Available options include AC First Class, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class. This diverse selection ensures that all types of travelers will find a suitable and comfortable option during the busy season.
The Central Railway announced the schedule for the initial departures of these special services, which began on December 6, 2025. The first train departed from the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai to Lucknow at 12:15 PM.
