Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s Health Improves, Doctors Recommend Rest
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is experiencing health improvements, but medical professionals have advised him to take additional rest. According to Harpal Singh Cheema, the state’s minister, Mann is currently hospitalized at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Cheema addressed the media on Saturday, stating, “We visited the Chief Minister this morning. His health is improving, but the doctors have suggested that he rest for one or two more days.”
Mann’s health deteriorated earlier in the week, prompting his admission to the private hospital. Cheema confirmed that he and other officials met with the Chief Minister post-admission. Manish Sisodia, a prominent leader from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), also visited Mann and reported that the Chief Minister’s condition has stabilized. Sisodia noted that Mann will remain under medical supervision for several days.
“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been unwell for the past few days due to an electrolyte imbalance,” Sisodia explained. Initially, Mann was being treated at home, but his condition worsened significantly when his pulse rate dropped. This led to his hospitalization on March 15, 2024. Doctors assessed his situation and recommended immediate medical care.
Despite his hospitalization, Mann continues to express concern regarding the flood situation affecting Punjab. Sisodia emphasized that Mann plans to hold meetings with officials from his hospital room to coordinate relief efforts for those impacted by the floods.
The AAP has stated that Mann had shown no signs of improvement while at home, prompting the decision to seek hospital treatment. His medical team is monitoring his recovery closely, and updates will be provided as his situation evolves.
The Chief Minister’s health issues have raised concerns among the public and political circles alike. His ability to manage state affairs while recovering will be closely watched in the coming days.
