Agra-Born Arvinder Bahal Set for Space Flight with Blue Origin

Arvinder Singh Bahal, a globetrotter and real estate investor from Agra, India, is set to embark on an extraordinary journey to the edge of space. He will join five other participants on Blue Origin’s tourism flight, NS-34, scheduled for liftoff from the company’s West Texas spaceport at 07:30 local time on October 15, 2023 (18:00 IST). This flight marks another milestone in Bahal’s adventurous life and his passion for exploration.
A Life of Adventure and Exploration
Born on October 13, 1945, near the iconic Taj Mahal, Bahal’s life story is one of resilience and ambition. He moved to the United States in 1975 with just $108 in his pocket, initially aiming to sell his goods. Over the years, he has traveled to all seven continents and visited 196 countries, earning a reputation as a tireless traveler. His adventures include exploring the North and South Poles, skydiving over Mount Everest, and visiting the Pyramids of Giza.
Bahal has documented his journeys extensively, claiming to have an archive of over a million photographs. In addition to his travel experiences, he has authored a publication titled “The Tireless Traveler.” His commitment to travel has been a defining theme in his life, reflecting his belief that real estate investments provide the freedom to explore the world.
From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Career
Before his foray into real estate, Bahal spent nearly four years working on a tea plantation in Darjeeling, India. He later ventured into the garment-manufacturing business near Delhi. His entry into real estate was prompted by a successful property investment in Canada, which yielded “good returns.” Since then, he has established himself as the president of Bahal Properties, a US-based real estate company.
Bahal’s personal life is equally fulfilling. He resides in Beverly, Massachusetts, with his wife, Pamela, and they have two children: Sukhvinder, a fintech professional, and Tasha, a lawyer. The couple also enjoys the company of their grandchildren.
Bahal’s travels have not only taken him to iconic landmarks but have also deepened his connection to his heritage. Last year, he visited Pakistan and explored significant Sikh shrines, including Gurdwara Panja Sahib, which is associated with Guru Nanak Dev.
As Bahal prepares for his upcoming flight with Blue Origin, he embodies the spirit of exploration and adventure. His journey to the edge of space will not only be a remarkable personal achievement but also an inspiration to many who dream of pushing the boundaries of their experiences.
