A shocking incident unfolded in Diliya village, located in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, on October 1, 2023, when a man allegedly murdered his parents and sister in a brutal attack over a property dispute. The suspect, identified as Abhay Yadav, aged 40, reportedly used an axe to kill his family members before fleeing the scene.

According to police reports, the victims include Shivram Yadav, aged 65, his wife Jamuni Devi, aged 60, and their daughter Kusum Devi, aged 36. They were found at their home after villagers heard their screams. By the time help arrived, Abhay had escaped, leaving the scene in chaos.

Ghazipur Superintendent of Police (SP) Iraj Raja stated that initial investigations suggest a property dispute as the motive behind the violent act. The family had been experiencing tensions, particularly between Abhay and his father, following Shivram’s decision to transfer some property to his daughter.

After the attack, the police quickly responded to the scene. Forensic teams collected evidence, and the bodies were sent for a postmortem examination. Villagers, shaken by the violence, reported the incident promptly, leading to an immediate police presence in the area.

The police have since formed three dedicated teams to locate and apprehend Abhay Yadav. Officials remain optimistic about his capture, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. With the community still in shock, many are left questioning how a family dispute could escalate to such a tragic outcome.

As the investigation continues, local authorities are focusing on gathering more information regarding the family’s previous conflicts. The case underscores the potential for domestic disputes to lead to devastating consequences.
