Mrunal Thakur Confirms Marriage Plans After Dismissing Dhanush Rumors
Mrunal Thakur has confirmed that marriage is a possibility in her future, following her recent dismissal of wedding rumors involving fellow actor Dhanush. Speaking to the Press Trust of India (PTI), Thakur stated, “Yes, wedding is on the cards and whenever the right day, the right time and the right person walks into my life, I will be the first one to announce it on my social networking sites.”
The actress had earlier addressed speculation about her supposed relationship with Dhanush, which suggested that the two were planning to marry on February 14. In an interview with Galatta Plus, she firmly rejected these rumors, saying, “Me? No. I think 14th April is going to be the 1st April… 14th Feb is going to be the 1st April. April Fools’ Day. Because I don’t know who started… First of all, I’ve been quoted, but I never said anything. And they just said, Mrunal said so. I was like, wow, how beautiful. It’s scary.”
Rumors regarding the potential romance gained traction after Thakur was seen warmly welcoming Dhanush at the premiere of his film, ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ and later at the wrap-up party for her project, ‘Tere Ishk Mein.’
Reflecting on modern perspectives towards marriage, Thakur noted, “Earlier, people might have had certain reasons to get married, but today, people marry because they want to, and they want to do it with the right person.” This sentiment highlights a shift in cultural attitudes, where the emphasis is increasingly placed on personal choice and compatibility.
On the professional front, Mrunal Thakur is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Do Deewane Seher Main,’ alongside actor Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film, directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by the renowned Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Zee Studios, is described as an imperfect yet perfect love story between the characters Shashank and Roshni. The movie is scheduled for release in theatres on February 20.
As Thakur navigates her personal and professional life, her candid discussions about marriage and relationships resonate with a generation that values authenticity and individual choice.
