The victim, identified as Namita Devi, aged 55, had been reported missing since January 20 after leaving her home for a morning walk. Officials located her body in bushes near the boundary wall of the Chandankiyari Community Health Centre.
According to Bokaro Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh, the body was identified by her son, Amar Gope, through distinctive features such as dental records and bangles. The condition of the body raised serious concerns, as it was found semi-nude and partially burnt.
