In May 2023, Air Marshal Kapoor played a pivotal role in operations that involved multiple attacks on Pakistani air bases, inflicting substantial damage between May 6 and 10. His leadership during this critical period has been noted as exemplary.

An Illustrious Career in the Indian Air Force

Air Marshal Kapoor’s career spans several decades, having been commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on December 6, 1986. He is a graduate of prestigious institutions, including the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, and the National Defence College.

With over 3,400 hours of flying experience, he has held numerous key positions, including Commanding Officer of a fighter squadron in the Central Sector and Station Commander of a flying base in the Western Sector. His strategic insight was further honed through various staff appointments, including Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations (Strategy) at Air Headquarters and Air Defence Commander at the South Western Air Command.

Before assuming his current position, he held the role of Air Officer-in-Charge, Personnel, at Air Headquarters in New Delhi.
