Tarique Rahman Honors Sharif Osman Hadi’s Memory in Bangladesh

Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), returned to Bangladesh after 17 years in exile and made a significant public appearance on Saturday. He visited the grave of youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi, whose recent murder has ignited political unrest in the country. Traffic was halted on both sides of the road from Shahbagh to Dhaka University, and a strong presence of law enforcement was evident, including members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and local police. Rahman also took a moment to offer prayers at the grave of Kazi Nazrul Islam, emphasizing the cultural significance of this site.
