Bhutan Extends Lord Buddha’s Holy Relics Exposition to Nov 25
The exposition of Lord Buddha’s Holy Relics in Bhutan has been extended for an additional week, now running until November 25, 2023, following a formal request from the Bhutanese government. This sacred event, which has attracted thousands of pilgrims, will continue in Thimphu, offering more opportunities for visitors to seek blessings from these revered relics.
The Ministry of Culture in Bhutan announced the extension, highlighting the significant public interest in the exposition. A special aircraft is scheduled to depart for Bhutan on November 24 to facilitate the return of the relics to India, with the relics expected to be flown back on November 25. The closing ceremony will be led by Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs of India.

The extension of the exposition underscores the deep cultural and spiritual connections between India and Bhutan.
