The three-day Globalising Indian Thought (GIT) Conclave 2025 concluded at the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIMK) on March 15, 2025. This event focused on key themes such as healthcare, gender equity, and India’s evolving role on the global stage. The conclave was inaugurated by Anil D. Sahasrabuddhe, chairperson of the National Educational Technology Forum, alongside Vikas Swarup, a prominent writer and former diplomat.

Over the course of the event, a total of 124 research submissions were showcased, comprising academic papers, practice cases, concept notes, and posters. The overarching theme of the conclave revolved around the “3 Ws”: Work, Women, and Worldview. Attendees included notable global figures and thought leaders, such as Shishir Priyadarshi, president of the Chintan Research Foundation, and Lalatiana Accouche, Seychelles High Commissioner to India.

One of the highlights of the conclave was a photo exhibition by artist Lalit Verma, which celebrated the cultural richness of the Purna Mahakumbh Mela. Additionally, expert panels addressed critical topics including sustainability, workplace equality, and representation in public life, fostering dynamic discussions among participants.

The event also recognized outstanding research contributions. The Best Paper Award was jointly awarded to Priyankari for her work titled ‘Renewing temple-centric performing art traditions of Bhārat: sound, rhythm and geometry for contemporary well-being’ and to Vineetha Mathew for her paper ‘Towards a conceptualisation of financial well-being for Indian women: the need for a new scale’.

The conclave concluded with a vibrant Bharatanatyam performance by Meenakshi Srinivasan, leaving attendees with a sense of cultural richness and inspiration as they reflected on the discussions and insights shared during the event.
