Sara Arfeen Khan Recalls Frightening Fire Alarm at Dubai Home

Actor Sara Arfeen Khan recently shared a harrowing experience involving a fire alarm at her residence in Dubai. The incident left her family in a state of panic, forcing them to evacuate their home in haste. In a conversation with Mid-Day, Khan recounted the terrifying moments that unfolded when the alarm sounded.

Chaos Erupts During Fire Alarm

The alarming incident began while Khan was on a phone call. She described how the fire alarm blared unexpectedly, followed by another alarm that prompted immediate concern among residents. “Initially, we thought it was a false alarm, but soon the security entered our house, shouting, ‘Let’s go outside!’” she recalled.

With little time to react, Khan and her family quickly grabbed their children and elderly parents. “I was in my pyjamas, and we just ran down. My kids were also in pyjamas, nervous and scared. We couldn’t use the lift, so we took the stairs,” she said. The narrow, spiraling staircases posed an additional challenge for her in-laws, who were slowly making their way down together.

As chaos engulfed the building, residents rushed to evacuate, recalling a similar incident from the previous year when a nearby building caught fire. Khan noted, “Luckily, Dubai’s safety mechanism is excellent — they have clear emergency rules and procedures.”

Emergency Response and Aftermath

Once outside, residents were directed to an assembly point across the road, where they gathered at a café while emergency services arrived. “The ambulance, firefighters — everyone came, just in case. We waited for about an hour and a half before being told everything was fine,” Khan stated, reflecting on the tense wait.

Returning to their home proved challenging due to crowded lifts filled with other residents, pets, and children. “It was a panic attack down there,” she admitted. Fortunately, Khan expressed relief that everyone emerged unscathed. “With God’s grace, everyone is fine and everything is good now,” she concluded.

This incident comes shortly after Khan participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 18, where she made emotional revelations about her life, including her experience with a miscarriage and the birth of her twins. Such moments resonated deeply with her fellow contestants.
