Indian Techie Celebrates Parents’ Sacrifices with US Tour, New Home

An Indian tech professional has made headlines for his generous gesture towards his parents, fulfilling a dream many aspire to achieve. Amit Kashyap, originally from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, recently purchased a home and a luxury car for his family in Texas while embarking on a tour across the United States. This heartfelt journey showcases the sacrifices his parents made to provide him with a better future.
During a conversation with Hindustan Times, Kashyap recounted his parents’ emotional reactions to their first visit to the United States. A video shared on Instagram captures his parents, Jeet Singh Kashyap and Kanti Devi, marveling at the stunning view of New York City from the 104th floor of the One World Trade Centre. The joy on their faces reflects a profound sense of pride and excitement as they experienced the city lights and panoramic views.
“They were feeling so proud of me while standing on the 104th floor of the building,” Kashyap described. “Every moment felt magical. Seeing them so happy and amazed was a moment I’ll never forget.”
Building a Dream Life
Kashyap, who now resides in Dallas, Texas, explained that the home he bought is a significant milestone for his family. “I gifted her [mother] a big new house in the United States,” he stated. Alongside the new home, he also drives a BMW X7, which he cherishes sharing with his parents.
His journey to success was paved with numerous challenges. Kashyap highlighted the sacrifices his parents made throughout his upbringing. “My parents have made countless sacrifices so I could get the best education,” he noted. They ensured he attended a prestigious school in Mathura, often saving every penny by cutting their own expenses and taking loans.
He reminisced about his mother cooking on a clay stove, emphasizing the struggles they endured. “I still remember my mom cooking on a clay stove, her eyes filled with smoke and pain. That’s when I promised myself that one day, I’ll be so successful that I’ll change the middle-class tag of my family.”
A Journey of Firsts
The visit to the United States marked not only a new chapter for Kashyap’s family but also their first international trip. He described the joy they experienced while flying, “They were seeing the world for the first time while coming to the US, watching the clouds from the plane window. Those moments were so precious to me.”
Kashyap works in the tech industry, where he designs, architects, and builds complex software for a major bank in the United States. This career path has allowed him to achieve the dreams he once had for his family, making their sacrifices worthwhile.
As they explore the diverse landscapes and vibrant cities of America, Kashyap’s journey serves as a reminder of the power of familial love and the fulfillment that comes from giving back to those who have supported you. The profound connection between Kashyap and his parents illustrates a universal theme: the aspiration to make loved ones proud.
