American Entrepreneur Celebrates 5-Year Indian Visa and Love

An American entrepreneur has captured the attention of social media users after announcing his five-year visa to India alongside a personal milestone. Tony Klor, who operates in the blockchain and artificial intelligence sectors, shared a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), featuring a photo of himself kissing his girlfriend. His caption read, “How it started – How it’s going. Only possible thanks to Modi ji.”
The post quickly gained traction, attracting a wave of humorous and supportive reactions. One user commented, “Congrats Tonyy, I think you love Modiji more than half of Indians.” Others joined in with lighthearted remarks, including, “When immigration plays wingman” and “This is so wholesome.” Another user cleverly suggested, “Modiji, we request you to launch ‘sabko ek partner dilao yojana’ under vikasit bharat,” translating to a playful request for a scheme to help everyone find a partner.
Klor’s announcement about his visa follows his earlier post highlighting the welcoming environment for tech entrepreneurs in India. He contrasted this with the more restrictive immigration policies in the United States, stating, “It’s official! India is opening its doors to foreign blockchain & AI builders. I’ve just been granted a girthy 5-year India visa.” He also shared an image of his visa, emphasizing the differences in approaches between the two countries: “Trump says foreigners go kick rocks. Modi says welcome home bhai.”
Visa Details and Implications
According to Klor’s post, his B-1 visa was issued on September 23, 2025, and will remain valid until September 22, 2030. Each stay in India is limited to a maximum of 180 days at a time. The B-1 visa category is designed for business-related travel, allowing foreigners to set up or explore ventures within India, engage in business negotiations, and buy or sell goods.
Klor’s story resonates beyond the personal; it underscores India’s increasing openness to international entrepreneurs. His lighthearted blend of personal news and praise for India’s immigration policies demonstrates a growing trend that could attract more talent to the country.
As Klor continues to navigate his new life in Bengaluru, his experience reflects a broader narrative about the evolving landscape of global business opportunities. With a supportive environment for innovation, India is positioning itself as a welcoming destination for talent from around the world.
