Ahaan Panday Celebrates Mohit Suri Ahead of Saiyaara Premiere

Ahaan Panday is poised to make his much-anticipated Bollywood debut with the film Saiyaara, produced by the esteemed Yash Raj Films and directed by the acclaimed Mohit Suri. As the film approaches its release date on March 15, 2024, Panday shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his deep appreciation for Suri and reflecting on the emotional journey leading to his launch.
In an evocative post, Ahaan highlighted the significant role that Suri’s films, particularly Aashiqui 2, played in shaping his cinematic aspirations. He fondly recalled growing up listening to the music from Suri’s movies, sharing moments spent with his grandmother picking up cassettes and watching films with his family.
Ahaan’s words resonated with nostalgia as he wrote, “You might’ve met me a year ago, but the truth is, I met you long before that. I met you through the stereo system in my car, with my grandmother, when we’d go pick up cassettes of every one of your films.” He continued, “I met you in the cinema hall, watching Aashiqui 2 with my mother and sister—we cried through the ending and then cried again because we had to translate every dialogue for my mother.”
A Deeply Personal Tribute
The emotional tribute did not stop there. Ahaan expressed gratitude for the entire team behind Saiyaara, acknowledging their contributions to his journey. He thanked various collaborators, including Vikramaditya Motwane, who envisioned his mother’s campaign, and Sumana Mukherjee, who played a crucial role in the production process.
He noted, “Thank you, Vik sir. You envisioned my mother’s campaign all those years ago—making her look good was easy, making me look even half as decent probably took more effort, but somehow you managed.” Ahaan also recognized the perseverance of those around him, stating, “Thank you, Akshaye, it was your first and you took that leap of faith, you have an iron heart. Thank you, Sankalp—for writing something so full of magic and for believing we could.”
As he concluded his heartfelt message, Ahaan dedicated special words to Suri: “To Mohit Suri—the man who brought feeling back into my life… and gave me my dream – aaj, kal aur forever, bas tum hi ho.” His message reflects not just gratitude but a profound connection to the filmmaking process and the individuals who have supported him throughout his journey.
As anticipation builds for Saiyaara, which is expected to break records upon its release, Ahaan Panday’s tribute to Mohit Suri encapsulates the emotional depth and dedication that often accompanies the filmmaking experience in Bollywood. The excitement around this debut is palpable, and many are keen to witness how Ahaan’s journey unfolds on screen.
