Union Budget 2026-27 Aims to Empower Key Sectors in India
In a recent press conference, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya outlined the goals of the Union Budget for 2026-27, emphasizing its role in empowering marginalized communities, including the poor, youth, women, and farmers. Maurya conveyed that this budget lays a strong and sustainable foundation for a developed India by the year 2047, aligning with the vision set forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the event held at the Hotel Ramada, Maurya highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure through initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). He pointed out that Uttar Pradesh has been a leading state in the implementation of this scheme over the past four years, successfully providing paved roads to numerous rural households. These developments, according to Maurya, will significantly contribute to the overall enhancement of rural life.
The Deputy Chief Minister stressed the importance of promoting food processing and value addition in rural areas. He suggested that these initiatives would not only strengthen local economies but also create job opportunities for residents. By focusing on these sectors, the government aims to uplift the standard of living for many families.
In addition to rural infrastructure, Maurya discussed the expansion of programs designed to empower women. Initiatives such as SHE-Marts and the Lakhpati Didi scheme aim to connect over 1 crore women with entrepreneurial opportunities. By fostering self-sufficiency, the government hopes to enhance the economic independence of women across the country.
The Union Budget 2026-27 is positioned as a transformative plan that seeks to address the needs of various demographics. Maurya’s remarks reflect a commitment to inclusivity and progress, promising that the initiatives outlined will bring about significant change in the lives of many citizens.
