Frank Turek Shares Final Moments of Charlie Kirk at Funeral

Frank Turek, a close friend of the late Charlie Kirk, recounted the tragic final moments of the conservative activist during a heartfelt eulogy at his funeral service held on September 10, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kirk, aged 31, was fatally shot while attending an event at Utah Valley University.

Turek revealed his presence in the vehicle that transported Kirk to the hospital after the shooting. He described the chaotic scene as security personnel hurriedly loaded Kirk into an SUV in an attempt to rush him for medical attention. “I want you to know that Charlie right now is in Heaven,” Turek stated, sharing his conviction that Kirk was already at peace.

As the vehicle sped toward the nearest hospital, Turek recalled the frantic atmosphere. “There were five of us trying to get help,” he said. He even considered administering CPR, but felt it was too late. “Charlie wasn’t there. His eyes were fixed. He wasn’t looking at me. He was looking past me right into eternity. He was with Jesus already,” Turek explained. He added that Kirk experienced no pain during his final moments.

Upon arrival at the hospital, medical staff managed to detect a pulse, which Turek noted was a testament to Kirk’s good health. “The doctor said, ‘We got a pulse because Charlie was a very healthy man. But the shot was catastrophic,’” Turek recounted. Unfortunately, within twenty to thirty minutes, the surgeon delivered the devastating news that Kirk had died.

In light of ongoing speculation regarding the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s injury, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) spokesperson Adam Kolvet sought to clarify some of the confusion. He reported that he had spoken with the medical professional treating Kirk, who indicated that the bullet had been lodged within Kirk’s body. Kolvet described Kirk’s bone density as “so impressive” that it saved others from potential injury, calling it a “miracle.”

As friends and family gathered to honor Charlie Kirk’s legacy, Turek’s emotional account provided a glimpse into the tragic event that claimed the life of a prominent political figure. Kirk’s commitment to his beliefs and the impact he left on those around him will be remembered by many.
