Rameet Sandhu Embraces Rural Life in Reality Show Debut

UK-born singer Rameet Sandhu is preparing for her reality television debut in the innovative series “Chhoriyan Chali Gaon,” hosted by Rannvijay Singha. The show features urban women transitioning to rural life, presenting unique challenges and opportunities for personal growth. Scheduled for release soon, this series aims to highlight the differences between city living and the tranquility of village life.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Sandhu discussed her transition from urban settings to a rural environment. She expressed enthusiasm about the experience, acknowledging it as a significant shift from her background in the UK and her current residence in Dubai. “I don’t think exploring a rural life will be too tough,” she shared. Sandhu is particularly excited about the culinary aspects, stating, “I really enjoy Indian food when I get the chance to eat it—but I don’t know how to cook yet. So, I’ll learn everything there. The food will be fresh, and that’s exciting.”
The singer highlighted the contrasts between urban and rural living. “We live in cities where everything moves so fast—constant noise, pollution, chaos. But in the village, I expect peace,” she explained. Sandhu noted that building connections with local villagers is a key aspect of her experience. “That human connection is what I’m really looking forward to,” she added.
Taking part in “Chhoriyan Chali Gaon” represents a new adventure for Sandhu, who emphasized the show’s unique concept as a key factor in her decision to participate. “This is my very first reality show. And Zeek is such a big name, so honestly, I couldn’t say no,” she remarked. The singer embraces challenges and views this opportunity as a chance to expand her horizons.
As part of her preparation, Sandhu has invested time in learning Hindi to better navigate her new surroundings. “I’m heading into village life now,” she stated, underscoring her commitment to fully engage with the experience. She expressed her hopes for support from the audience as she embarks on this journey.
“Chhoriyan Chali Gaon” is produced by Banijay Asia in collaboration with Zee TV. The show draws inspiration from the successful Zee Marathi series “Jau Bai Gaavat,” aiming to showcase urban contestants adapting to the everyday realities of village life. The format will challenge participants to step outside their comfort zones and embrace the simplicity and challenges of rural living.
Anticipation is building for this unique venture, with Sandhu’s journey likely to resonate with viewers seeking authentic experiences in a world increasingly dominated by fast-paced urban lifestyles. As the series prepares to premiere, audiences are eager to witness how these urban women navigate the complexities of rural existence and foster meaningful connections along the way.
