Newborn Abandoned Near Tarapur Rescued and Stabilized

A newborn baby boy was discovered abandoned late on Friday night near a goat farm in the outskirts of Jichka village, located in the Tarapur taluka of Anand district. Residents in the area heard the infant’s cries near Jichka-Khanpur Road and promptly contacted local authorities.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the baby to the Tarapur referral hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning. According to medical staff, the infant was brought in around 5:30 AM. A treating doctor noted that the baby was cold upon arrival and required immediate care. “The baby was a bit cold and was immediately put in an incubator to regulate his temperature and prevent infection,” the doctor explained.
After being cleaned of thorns that had become lodged in his skin, the newborn received fresh clothing and nourishment. Medical professionals reported that he is now stable and recovering well.
Investigation Underway to Identify Parents
In response to this incident, the Tarapur police have registered an offence against unidentified individuals and initiated a probe to locate the child’s parents. Authorities are working diligently to gather any information that may lead to the identification of those responsible for abandoning the infant.
In the meantime, police have started the process of placing the newborn in an orphanage. It is anticipated that the child will be sent to the Hindu orphanage in Nadiad, which typically accommodates abandoned infants from the surrounding region.
This heart-wrenching incident highlights ongoing concerns about the safety and well-being of vulnerable infants. Local communities and authorities are urged to remain vigilant and report any similar occurrences to ensure the safety of children.
